Spotlight: Cthu'drahl the Earth Ravager & Gnarrlsh the Pincer

Here is the latest batch of sneak peeks from tonight's release!

Cthu'drahl the Earth Ravager

This one is an homage to Tendril from 'The Inhumanoids', Cthulhu & the Mind-Flayers/Ilithids from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. This one is pretty beefy with huge twin-tentacled arms, a forked tail and peering eyes. I used neon orange fabric to make his eyes and let me tell you, at night those eyes even freak ME out.

Making the head took a little time but the finished result worked like a charm & was spot-on to what I imagined it to be.

Spotlight: Tru'lee Sharkrageous & Hydris the Mer-Lizard

Today I'm just going to talk a little bit about the designs of the plushies I made, what inspired them, how did I design the patterns, etc..

Tru'lee Sharkrageous

This guy was a lot of fun to make and also very challenging. He was the first of my action plushies to be of a larger width so he ends up being a very big toy.

Sharkleberry Fin Kool-Aid was a huge inspiration for this guy, as well as the garish neon colors of the 1980's.

The story behind "Action Plushies"

With every release I have had, there has been a story to it, just like with any other toy line, and with these plushies that is no different.

These plushies are actually toys of toys, if that makes any sense? When I made a Ston'emm action figure it was a plastic representation of the Ston'emm species from the planet Slauria. These plushies only exist as toys, which directly ties into my next project. What is that next project? Let me sum-up as it is a lot to explain quickly.

The next step for Bah'glenn Creations: Action Plushies!

Toys have always been a huge part of my life, from when I was a little kid until age 37 when I design, draw and sculpt my own. Since about 2008 I've been pretty steadily creating toys, mostly by drawing ideas up and sculpting them with polymer clay, but this past summer I took things in a very different direction: plush toys. Surprisingly the fabric medium is incredibly versatile and in ways that plastic just can't.

Store Update for Friday November 4th

Just a little tease of what I'll be putting up in an hour or so, just some random Glyos compatible Sculpted Heads, Ston'emm bits & even some Canne'boid figures (all with hand sculpted parts & furry bodies).

Check back soon to see what's available!

2016 Custom figure, Head & Resin bits sale!!!

Been quiet around here for a few months and while that was going on, I was running myself ragged with my day job, trying to keep the background projects in the works on track, be a father, husband and also see my immediate family. So I have been a bit distant from here.

I am planning to change that soon when this other project becomes fully finished, but more about the purpose of this entry:

We're Back! (wait: when did we leave?? O_o??)

Okay, so things have been going a bit rough aboard the U.S.S. Bah'glenn Creations over the last few years. Our inventory leftover after the 2013 New York Comic Con has continued to dwindle and now we have very little left to sell. Numerous attempts to re-start our resin custom operation have fallen on it's face due to unforeseen errors and it's not been fun.

The Ston'emm Rock Quarry is LIVE!!!

Store is live! Head over there now to see what has been added to the mix!
