Pre-Holiday Sale & Action Plushie Sizes

In anticipation of the holiday season that appears to be approaching very quickly (how is Halloween next week already??), I have lowered the price on each Action Plushie to help these more easily get into the hands of people and every penny counts come holiday time. I also created a coupon to save an additional $10.00 of your Action Plushie purchase, just type in "PLUSH2017" to get the extra discount.

Action Plushie Release is LIVE!!

It's finally here! After a momentary hiccup, the store is live with all of our current Action Plushie offerings. There are more on the way, but in the mean time check out what we have and maybe you will find a new friend to take home!

Spotlight: Cthu'drahl the Earth Ravager & Gnarrlsh the Pincer

Here is the latest batch of sneak peeks from tonight's release!

Cthu'drahl the Earth Ravager

This one is an homage to Tendril from 'The Inhumanoids', Cthulhu & the Mind-Flayers/Ilithids from Advanced Dungeons and Dragons. This one is pretty beefy with huge twin-tentacled arms, a forked tail and peering eyes. I used neon orange fabric to make his eyes and let me tell you, at night those eyes even freak ME out.

Making the head took a little time but the finished result worked like a charm & was spot-on to what I imagined it to be.

Spotlight: Tru'lee Sharkrageous & Hydris the Mer-Lizard

Today I'm just going to talk a little bit about the designs of the plushies I made, what inspired them, how did I design the patterns, etc..

Tru'lee Sharkrageous

This guy was a lot of fun to make and also very challenging. He was the first of my action plushies to be of a larger width so he ends up being a very big toy.

Sharkleberry Fin Kool-Aid was a huge inspiration for this guy, as well as the garish neon colors of the 1980's.

The story behind "Action Plushies"

With every release I have had, there has been a story to it, just like with any other toy line, and with these plushies that is no different.

These plushies are actually toys of toys, if that makes any sense? When I made a Ston'emm action figure it was a plastic representation of the Ston'emm species from the planet Slauria. These plushies only exist as toys, which directly ties into my next project. What is that next project? Let me sum-up as it is a lot to explain quickly.

The next step for Bah'glenn Creations: Action Plushies!

Toys have always been a huge part of my life, from when I was a little kid until age 37 when I design, draw and sculpt my own. Since about 2008 I've been pretty steadily creating toys, mostly by drawing ideas up and sculpting them with polymer clay, but this past summer I took things in a very different direction: plush toys. Surprisingly the fabric medium is incredibly versatile and in ways that plastic just can't.
