Pul'vorrg the Demolisher
About:
Name: Pul’vorgg the Demolisher
Collector Number: #14
Rock Type: Slate & Muckstone (Gray & Brow swirled)
Function: Earthquake Creator
Quote: “None are safe from the quakes of my mighty feet!”
Abilities: Pul’vorgg, like all ston’emm possesses the ability to reconstitute his body with any nearby rocks or stones after being heavily damaged. He can also telekinetically gather rocks up to form crude melee weapons and morph his limbs into hammers, maces or other blunt instruments. In addition to these abilities, he can also do something the ston’emm call ‘earth-walking’ and can move through solid earth as if it was water. This enables him to attack foes from under the ground or to easily escape through the earth. In addition to these abilities, the stomp of Pul’vorgg’s feet create earthquakes that knock over opponents and leave large gapping cracks in the earth. His ability, while incredibly destructive and effective in battle, is not as useful in close quarters or aboard space ships. This limits the usefulness of it to combat on solid ground.
Bio: One very disturbed ston’emm, Pul’vorgg betrayed his people centuries ago after the end of the war against the Frr’ohst, Lavarrians & Sha’dohzan. He believes they should have been the rightful rulers of Slauria, and is both bitter and angry towards his kind and the Phosperonns for abandoning their planet. When the war with the Armorvor began, he along with a few other evil ston’emm left and joined the enemy.
NYCC 2012 Ston'emms Release:
In this gallery you will see all 39 different Ston'emm figures cast by Jeremy Sung of Spy Monkey Creations for the first Ston'emms release at NYCC 2012. Jeremy also designed and sculpted the crystalline brains/eyes for all the light-piped Ston'emms.
Just about every Ston'emm also had their teeth, toes and back crystals painted by my wife Beth Negri and each came in a baggie with a header card stapled to it digitally designed by me (Chris Negri). The back of each header card also had the name and number of the Ston'emm enclosed in the baggie.
UPDATE- 9/4/2021: Added some more photos of the Ston'emms made from this release in addition to some behind-the-scenes photos taken by Jeremy Sung of Spy Monkey Creations of the raw castings! These photos had been lost to time on our Photobucket account and over on the old Blogspot blog, so this is the first time in 9 years they have been made available to look at.
