Frohs-T & Ignitius Fabric Fighter plush 2-Pack

Item Description

Fabric Fighterz are plush toys made out of artwork printed onto cotton fabric, sewn together and stuffed. The main concept behind this line is just because it's fabric, doesn't mean it can't still be fun. If you grew up with Wrestling Buddies, went on adventures into your backyard with your stuffed animals or just got on the ground and had fun with your toys- then this line is for you.

Every Fabric Fighterz toy is hand made by me, Christopher Negri, with a sewing machine and printed onto fabric by the fine folks over at Spoonflower.com.

These two have been kicking around the Bah'glenn Creations studio for a hot minute so I figured December was a good time to offer these two up for sale, as a loose The Year Without a Santa Claus homage (the whole Heat Miser & Snow Miser bit). But these heads originated from that beautiful maniac we all know and love: Matt Doughty.

Back when the Four Horsemen were collaborating with Onell Design to make Glyos compatible Outer Space Men figures, Matt Doughty had ideas to help get more mileage out of the figure bodies already put into production. Between January and April of 2011, he made a series of drawings of alternate heads, helmets and parts for the figures to turn them into completely new characters and expand the line beyond what Mel Birnkrant initially created.

Seeing these amazingly crafted critters, I had to bring them to life and free them from exile in "The Piles" of Matt's concept art archive.

Ignitius was made using an "unleashed" look at what Matt thought the Outer Space Man namd Inferno would look like in his natural state, with colors sampled from a myriad of different fire themed characters from Mega Man's Fire Man, to a random fire wizard from Thundarr the Barbarian.

Frohs-T was an alternate head for the Inferno/Metamorpho body, and would utilize the same connection point for a helmet. Matt thought this race, if painted differently, could be made to look like stone as well. I wanted to make this guy for a LONG time, but I wasn't sure how to make the back of the head. Fortunately, Matt made a helmet for him so the easiest way to bring this character to life was to just keep the head inside a helmet. Color samples ranged from numerous ice characters over the years BUT the backpack are colors paying homage to Lego's Ice Planet theme.
