Beetle & Rhino Beetle Bio-Jumper 2-Pack (2nd Release)

Back in January of 2011, Matt Doughty and Marty 'The Godbeast' Hansen collaborated together and the first Bio-Jumper, a spider, was conceptualized & created. Later that year, sometime in June of 2011, Matt & Marty discussed what other insects they could morph into Bio-Jumpers. The results were at least 15 plus different little critters, 4 of which saw release as resin figurines created by Marty (click HERE to read Matt's blog post about this).

I loved what Marty had done with them, the Grasshopper one in particular was a favorite of mine, but I really wanted to see Matt Doughty's art leap off the page. Matt has a very distinctive style to his art and even with Marty's impressive sculpting abilities, it's hard to 100% capture that.

When I started playing around with Matt's art in 2023 and turning it into plush toys, I had to give the Bio-Jumpers a try. I made 5 different ones as larger plush, and then after they proved to work, I made 2 of them at a smaller scale as a test. I then offered some of those smaller test samples for sale, people loved them, I sold through of my inventory and then ordered this 2nd Release.

Note: These 2nd Release Bio-Jumpers are identical to the 1st release, save for print on the inside of each Bio-Jumper that reads "2nd Release".
